Introduce your pets.
I know there are many animal lovers here. Soooo.... Introduce your pets. Pix, stories, descriptions, whatever.

I don't have a pet. Nanay refuses to let me. Not even a hamster.
|
Trep, you are jinxed when it comes to having your kitties! Maybe it's not the right time for the 'right' one for you. When you can have one, it will be a special one, I'm sure.
|
I don't have any.
Was looking after a couple of cats but managed to get shot of them the other day. |
I know you've already seen pics of her. But since no one had posted anything yet I thought I'd post one to get things started.
My lovely Jaffa: http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h4...sson/jaffa.jpg |
Baby, what a beautiful coat you have!
|
Jaffa is adorable Lena!
I personally don't actually have any pets myself. (dang allergies :() But I still might be able to melt everyone's hearts. I present... my friend's NEKKID KITTIES!!! :D http://www.bysmitty.com/misc/cats.jpg ...bysmitty |

Here's Oscar after a hard day of sleeping and looking for food:

Here's a picture of my cat Bessie sitting all elegantly in our garden. She has been known to eat the grass out there (aids feline digestion so I'm told) but not enough to do away with the need for a lawnmower.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...arden-2004.jpg At the moment, said animal is curled up fast asleep on the sofa bed behind me. It's definitely a very content pose but I don't have a camera with me, digital or otherwise. EDIT Lovely dog by the way Lena. Yours looks so woeful in that picture Spider. Not convinced about the naked kitties bysmitty. Prefer my cats with a bit of fur. |

Satanic creature with glowing red eyes. It's coming to kill us all!!!!!!!!     I recognise that reclined tabby pose though. Very familiar that one. |
Nothing quite like an evil mouse.
:frown: I wish I could have an evil mouse. |

Trep, that's not a mouse. It's a rat (at least it looks a lot like one. And it doesn't seem to be as skittish as mice are). We used to have ten females. They're terribly cute and awesome pets. - :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |

I want a mouse. They're smaller so you can hide them in your shirt pocket.
|
How about a story about an evil mouse? Or would an evil sheep do?

What kind of accent does Brain have (oooh, thread cross referencing!!)*?
*honestly, I can't remember. |
Wasn't Brain supposed to be kinda like Orson Welles.
So American Accent I suppose, but he always sounded like Vincent Price a little. |
I don't have any pets anymore.

No... you were supposed to be rooting for the mice, not hating them...

@Step Bessie is a beauty. I'd love to have a cat as well, but the rest of the family say no.:frown: @Spider Oscar is a beauty as well. The luster of that fur! Quote:
We also got that Jaffa drink and we thought it was a catchy name. @Mel Emma is a darling, and the cats sure make me want to get one even more. And the evil mouse....looks evil!:D |
Am I alone in finding those hairless cats seriously ugly (sorry!)?
|
Cute pets guys! Jaffa, Oscar and Emma are gorgeous (yes, I'm a dog person)!
She's made a few appearances here, but this is Charlie, our 5 year old golden retriever: Pleading for food: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...charliebeg.jpg Hoping she's not going to be told to get off the bed: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...charliebed.jpg Out for the count: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...arlieclose.jpg |

Jaffa Oranges. Jaffa Cakes are popular in the UK as an orange flavoured confection( Is it a cake or a biscuit? Who Knows? Vat joke) So Jaffa has a lot of connections to Oranges. Nice name for a dog though. |
I love hunting, sporting and working dog breeds (and the mutts of those breeds). Oscar, Charlie (hee, hee, that's the name of my PhD advisor) and Jaffa are all so gorgeous!!
|
Sometimes I don't know what I'm thinking...
Orange (the colour) is indeed orange in Swedish as well. But orange (the fruit) is called apelsin in Swedish. A word that origins from the expression: appels from China. We were aware of the city in Israel called Jaffa, but when thinking about dog names it was the soft drink that inspired us. |
You know what makes a really good pet?
- A tapeworm! They're so low maintenence, they're the perfect pet for the person on the go! There's no need to worry about walking them, or feeding them, and they're always there wherever you are! Trying to lose a few pounds? Well tapeworms can help you there too! Maybe you're barren and want a pet to satisfy your desire to nurture, but you still want to know what it feels like to have something growing inside you? Well guess what, now you can with a tapeworm! They really are an incredible multipurpose pet for the modern age. So what are you waiting for? Go out and get a tapeworm, it's the *The veracity of this statement cannot be verified. |
You sure talked me into it. Tapeworm-city... here I come.

Cora, the Demon Dog. She's extremely clever and wicked. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...o/RIMG0582.jpg Cuno, the not-as-Demonic-as-Cora-but-still-quite-scary-if-you-meet-him-in-the-dark dog. And he's often not the most focused laser in the show. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...er_SAN_075.jpg See? I told you. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Puzzle100.jpg My guinea pig, Puzzle (or my Guinea Pig Puzzle? :P ), when he was only a few days old. He's grown up now, though. - :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |
Jaz's Pets™ - so good they add an extra smiley...

Cuno is one handsome dog. And Cora: extremely clever with that looks: Just has got to be a Toller dad.:) |

(Why the question mark?) Yes, he's a pretty dog. His tail curls and curls and curls when he is happy. Sadly he also has a nasty habit of announcing his happiness to the world in a very...odorous way. We believe it is a remnant from the food that he used to get when we got him from the pet asylum. It's entirely possible that Cora's dad was a Toller. It would make more sense too, since I always thought that the head of a Golden Retriever is a bit too round and clunky (though not much) in comparison with Cora's. I also found them a bit too heavy set (though most of it is fur), while Cora is quite sleek. - :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |
