As someone who has a pretty darn good plot planned for an adventure--may I ask how many people are working on this project (excluding voice actors)? It has a quality level that I would like to achieve, and I'd like to know what I'm looking at for a support cast.

If things go well, I may even have some rough concept art soon!

How hard is the engine to learn? How does it compare to wintermute?

JohnGreenArt 03-17-2006 09:34 AM

There are approximately 1 people working on the game. :)

As for the engine, I can't comapre it to others as I've never used any others (I'm on a Mac and there aren't many engines that are cross-platform). But the LASSIE engine is pretty easy to get the hang of. The demo was made in what's now referred to as "LASSIE Legacy." That version of the engine is complete and can compile stand alone games for Mac or Windows, but they cannot be played over the web. A new version of the engine, called "LassieAS" is still in development, and it will make Flash-native games (plus have a whole bunch of cool new features that LASSIE Legacy doesn't have.) The final game will be made with the LassieAS engine.

Can i help with the game?
Since i have an expertise in...well,pretty much nothing,i could help with the voice acting!
No,really,i am good at that (at least i think i am),so,when in need...

Hi JohnGreeArt,

JohnGreenArt 04-16-2006 05:37 AM

Heh heh. Things are going well, but it will still be a while until the game's done.

Nautilus 04-16-2006 06:40 AM

Wow, very nice work! Colorful and atractive graphics.

moieu 05-02-2006 01:52 AM

GREAT cartoony graphics! I am eager to have them all. Keep it going.
Nearly Departed has better graphics than lovely BS.
WoW! Expecting much more...

I finished the demo... MAXIMUM attraction!

I wanted to criticise but I found no slip.

There's a new interview with me about my game Nearly Departed at http://igo.ampednews.com/

You should see the center window cycle through articles, so just click on it when "John Green" pops up.

Or, here's the direct link to the article: http://igo.ampednews.com/features/196/

usman 05-06-2006 07:06 AM

Hey John we are more intrested in the earlier release date :) Fasten your Seat Belt Man and Change the Gear..............!!!!!!!!!

JohnGreenArt 05-13-2006 07:42 AM

Since I'm not at E3 and can't show my game off to anybody, I thought I'd just post another small background from the game.

Good stuff John.

AudioSoldier 05-13-2006 11:35 AM

Yeah, I'd pay money for a game with such quality backgrounds.

JohnGreenArt 05-13-2006 12:55 PM

Thanks, all, and thanks again for the interview, Ed.

Do you like horrormovies? How about including references to different zombiemovies in your game?:)

I´m really looking forward to the finished game.I would even be willing to pay for it.
