Twist of Fate?

DustyShinigami 11-19-2010 05:20 PM

It's not the first Discworld is it?

The kitchen at Unseen University is the only one that comes to mind.

gray pierce 11-20-2010 08:57 AM

It remids me of Overclocked but I can't remember that being said.

Psychocandy 11-20-2010 12:15 PM

Nuh uh! ;) Want a couple more guesses before a hint?

Luna Sevithiainen 11-20-2010 01:01 PM

Is it from Monkey Island 2? I do remember a kitchen there that was pretty messy, but I can't recall whether the floor was a hotspot you could look at.

Shany 11-20-2010 01:03 PM

I'm going to guess Leisure Suit Larry 7 - another game with a filthy kitchen - and ask for a hint.

Psychocandy 11-20-2010 02:40 PM

Hint ahoy! This game is one of many in a popular series and features a poor, put-upon main character. :)

gray pierce 11-20-2010 05:35 PM

Art of Murder: FBI confidential

mataku 11-20-2010 05:40 PM

space quest 6?

Origami 11-20-2010 07:48 PM

I think I know.
It's one of Frogwares' last 4 Sherlock Holmes games.
My bet is on Case of the Silver Earring.

Psychocandy 11-21-2010 01:26 AM

Still nay. ;)

Hint number two, then: In addition to his cleaning duties, our main character was often called upon to feed his master's chickens.

harald 11-21-2010 03:58 AM

Okay, then it's King's Quest III, and that's got to be Manannan saying it. I'd never have guessed it without those hints.

Funny how many of these games that I've played, and still I'm having so much trouble guessing them. I suppose individual quotes just don't stick with me the way screenshots do. :P

Sughly 11-21-2010 04:29 AM

Haha, you beat me to it harald! Not too many games I've played that involve feeding chickens.

I have to say, I can never get these quotes, and not because I didn't play them but because they aren't really very memorable to me :frown:. I'm not complaining though because everyone else is getting them, I'm merely pointing out that... well, I'm slow I suppose :P

rayvio 11-21-2010 05:38 AM

in some ways this game is even more fun when I don't know the answer. it usually either means that I'm pointed towards a game I haven't played, or reminded of one I'd started to forget. doesn't always lead to me playing/replaying said game, but sometimes it does

harald 11-22-2010 10:58 AM

"I am the ruler of this world now!"

kate me 11-22-2010 12:04 PM

zane 11-22-2010 12:55 PM

harald 11-22-2010 02:15 PM

Yep, zane is right. It's from The Neverhood in
Spoiler:

zane 11-22-2010 02:24 PM
