New quote:

"You know, going to new places, meeting interesting people, and then killing them.

I guess I won't be home for lunch.
"

diego 10-06-2010 11:28 AM

I'll take that as "We need hints!"

It's a third-person, fantasy game. The quote is taken while the main protagonist talks to Robin Hood look-a-like character.

Brimstone 10-06-2010 02:32 PM

I'm going to guess Kyrandia 3 Malcolm's Revenge

Fantasysci5 10-06-2010 05:36 PM

I think it's too funny to be from "Dreamfall", but that will be my guess. ;)

diego 10-07-2010 06:35 AM

Nope, nothing from it.

This one is older than Dreamfall and couple of years younger than Kyrandia 3. It's slightly on obscurish side when compared to those. Your character needs to save a land.

rayvio 10-07-2010 08:51 AM

Fable?

diego 10-07-2010 09:16 AM

That's right!

The stage is yours.

rayvio 10-07-2010 02:15 PM

"Bucket Head? What kind of insult is that?"

pointandcliklover 10-08-2010 11:47 AM

simon 1, i think the druid says it when you turn him in to a frog but could be wrong

rayvio 10-08-2010 02:22 PM

nope, not Simon

Brimstone 10-08-2010 03:55 PM

that's Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis I believe

rayvio 10-08-2010 11:26 PM

it is indeed, takes place on the submarine when Indy rescues Sophia and gives a subtle hint to Sophia to smack the Nazi over the head with the bucket
sometimes the game gave "you're looking a little pail" instead

Brimstone 10-09-2010 02:25 AM

Ok here's a piece of conversation.

"Misappropriated by you."

"I never misanthropated anything."

Keep in mind there is NO spelling error here.

DustyShinigami 10-09-2010 02:43 AM

God, I'm rubbish at these. I know this one too, but I can't put my finger on it.

rayvio 10-09-2010 11:53 AM

sounds like the style of Innocent Until Caught

Brimstone 10-09-2010 04:45 PM

Not Innocent Until Caught

skeeter_93 10-09-2010 07:02 PM

Tales Of Monkey Island - Gubrush's Trial?

Brimstone 10-09-2010 08:12 PM

Good game but not the right one.

DustyShinigami 10-11-2010 03:33 AM

Got it! It's Discworld Noir, isn't it? I remember that line between Lewton and Nobby in the Cafe Ankh. :D

Brimstone 10-11-2010 05:49 AM

Gazzoid got it

DustyShinigami 10-11-2010 09:11 AM

Sweet. Okay, this next one might be hard/obscure, but it's the only one that comes to mind at the moment.

"Fascinating."

Lately, this word and the way the character says it, pops into my head whenever someone tells me something unimportant/uninteresting. :P

rayvio 10-11-2010 10:00 AM

Broken Sword? for some reason I imagine it coming from a female french accent in a sarcastic tone...

DustyShinigami 10-11-2010 02:00 PM

Nope. It is said sarcastically, though. ;)

Brimstone 10-11-2010 07:44 PM

Unfortunately that word only reminds me of Star Trek.

Thesaya 10-11-2010 09:58 PM

Simon the Sorcerer?

lmao Me, too.

But really, I have no idea, but I think it's funny how small quotes like these get stuck in our heads, instead of the profound ones. :P

harald 10-12-2010 12:25 AM

Ooh, I know, I know! It's Laverne from Day of Tentacle, right? It's her generic "look at" line. I actually use it from time to time in real life. :P

DustyShinigami 10-12-2010 12:39 AM

Sorry guys, you're all wrong. :D

@harald: good guess, though. I can't quite remember if Laverne says that, but it does seem to fit.

Want a clue?

harald 10-12-2010 08:17 AM

But... but I wasn't a guess! She does say that. Although not as sarcastically as I remembered it: http://www.mediafire.com/?cn013nts858yuuh :D

Oh, and I don't think anyone would say no to a hint, Gazzoid.

Shany 10-15-2010 01:45 PM

We need a hint.

skeeter_93 10-15-2010 11:50 PM

Mata Hari? Hmm, that's always my guess... but everything sounds like it was from it! Hint, please!

DustyShinigami 10-16-2010 01:39 AM

Sure thing.

One word: Humphrey

skeeter_93 10-16-2010 03:59 AM

Gabriel Knight 3

mschili 10-18-2010 10:17 AM

is it just me or wouldnt it be polite to actually log on to this post more than once a week if u are going to participate in this game... no wonder this thread dies when u have to wait for 3-4 days between hints and so on.

Trunkyo 10-18-2010 03:54 PM

Sammun-Mak (in Max's body) says "Fascinating..." while in the Museum of Mostly Natural History in Sam & Max Episode 303: They Stole Max's Brain! (Is that it?)

DustyShinigami 10-19-2010 12:34 AM

Heh, heh. Sorry skeeter_93 and Trunkyo, you're both wrong. :D However, skeeter_93 is getting warm. ;)

gray pierce 10-19-2010 01:29 AM

I might be wrong but doesn't the guy at the café in BS2 say that when you show him the worm?

Brimstone 10-19-2010 02:07 AM

I think it's Gabriel Knight 1

DustyShinigami 10-19-2010 02:49 AM

I think you're right. :D

skeeter_93 10-19-2010 05:52 AM

Gabriel Knight 2! Gabriel Knight 1! Doh, someone beat me to it!
