That was an excellent mystery and a great find - just like an adventure game! While I was reading the thread, I had thought it might be Lilla Cabot Perry because of some similarities in style.
This is the first I've heard of Zandomeneghi, but I really like his work. It seems that the majority of his paintings and drawings are of females. Over the years I've bought, from various museum shops, notecards and calendars with women reading as the theme. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any of his works used because he has many that would be appropriate.
