I don't like norwegian films. Seems like the only things we manage to produce are dramas, romantic dramas, historical dramas and person dramas and really bad black humour movies.
I didn't like Elling, which got rave reviews, the "Slipp Jimmy fri" trailer irritate the heck out of me, and the recent horror films released have so predictable story that I bet I can write down who dies when and how without seeing the movie.
Having said that I'm actually going to see Kautokeino oppgjøret, when it's shown on tv.. I'm just not very interested in historical dramas, during this period of my life I prefer watching "feel good" movies when going to the cinema, I think 90% of the movies I've seen these last years have been "children's" movies or feel good movies. I'm assuming this movie is going to go into history here in Norway, making it a must-see, it's getting rave reviews from every newspaper and is being referred to as the one must-see movie this year..
