I saw Dylan in Houston in 2002. It was at the Astrodome, but I got a pit bracelet through a lot of physical exertion (I ran arround the Astrodome looking for the sod who was giving those out), so I got to be right in front of the stage. He mainly sung the stuff from Love and Theft, and then some country songs.

I wanted him to play Desolation Row. It was awkward. I couldn't yell "Bob" or "Dylan" because he is neither a "Bob" nor a "Dylan"; you can't split his name but you can't scream "Hey, Bob Dylan!" at him either. So... between songs, I kept screaming, "Hey Zimmie, play Desolation Row!!"

He didn't.

It was an impractical request anyway.

The song is fifteen minutes long.
