I played Mysterious Journey 2 and really liked it. The puzzles were sort of mathematical. Sentinel was made by the same people, uses the same engine, but is said to be better than MJ2, but I'm not very far into the game, so I could not tell. Try the demo versions. There are demos for realMYST, URU, MJ2 and Sentinel, for the rest I don't know...
