A hyper-link, on the World Wide Web. The information superhighway, if you will.

Hmm...those screen shots look like the game is all in 3D...perhaps an adventure game with a first person shooter interface minus the shooting part? That would be interesting...

realMyst, Mysterious Journey 2, Uru, Tex Murphy (forgot which), and Sentinel have done that already. For better or worse, of course.

Hahah, well that makes sense as to why I would say that, I haven't played ANY of those. Reccomend any?

Well, I've only played realMyst and Uru (which you can play either 3rd or 1st person). I would recommend that if you don't mind mechanical puzzles and such. You should read the site reviews for the others. Laura has just written hers for Sentinel.

See, I kinda have this apprehension with first person adventures because I'm so used to a 3D world full of people/places/things to interact with, and tradtionally adventure games have none of that, the only things you can touch are the puzzles themselves. But what I love about them are not so much the puzzles but being able to 'walk' into such a beautiful world and look around myself 360 degrees while moving forward in space in real time. I had a magnificent time with realMyst. And Uru was rather breathtaking.

Tex Murphey is also very good. The Pandora Directive is usually considered the best of the series. It might take a while to get past the dated graphics though. Great game otherwise. And the environment is very interactive, relatively speaking of course.

I played Mysterious Journey 2 and really liked it. The puzzles were sort of mathematical. Sentinel was made by the same people, uses the same engine, but is said to be better than MJ2, but I'm not very far into the game, so I could not tell. Try the demo versions. There are demos for realMYST, URU, MJ2 and Sentinel, for the rest I don't know...

Interesting. Some promising (though vague) elements. Will keep an eye on it.
Thanks for the link
