CGW did some testing and concluded Starforce may indeed cause problems with certain optical drives, even leading to their destruction. When questioned about Starforce boycott and all the negative comments Starforce gets, their PR manager replied - wait for this - Quote:

Someone accuses StarForce of being a worm, spreading across partitions, and even network drives.
Also agrees with the previous article posted, from CDFreak, that StarForce runs all the time, not just when games are run. |
