RemiO 09-10-2003 05:16 AM

Wonderful colours. I feel like my home.

WELCOME BACK TO OUR HOME!!!

YEEEEE

------------------------------

now i am gonna make a quick run, cause the forums are SO full right now that my poor little ISDN has frozen.
First a little new thread and then see you tommorow :P

Fum 09-10-2003 05:37 AM

I decided to come out of Lurk-Mode to let Marek and Co. know that I think the new forums are great! So many cool new features to help me skulk about without letting my presence be known! It looks allot better, too. *slides back into the shadows*

emma 09-10-2003 05:38 AM

Ooooooooh! *warm and fuzzy feeling*

Firefoot 09-10-2003 05:38 AM

Although I think forum comments should belong to 'forum feedback'...

*no, I don't want the matches!* ;)

Looks cool the new forum! For now it's been awfully slow... And I moved to an other time zone too... +5:30 instead of +1:00... but that depends per forum where I live...

:pan:
(self)

/me goes wander through the forums to get a bit more used to the new lay-out and buttons etc... ;)

[edit] wonders if the icons differ per post if I read them or not... that is/was só handy... never seen it on an other forum and I really miss it there (at least)...

emma 09-10-2003 05:39 AM

LOL! Yeah, it's never too soon to start directing people to the correct forum! ;)

Mattsius 09-10-2003 05:39 AM

Man this forum is GREAT! Sexy as hell! :P

*D I guess it's because I moderate some other forums... ;)

*confused* it's called reply instead of quote...

Moosferatu 09-10-2003 05:45 AM

Very cool indeed. 8-)

I really like the new avatars. I think I will go with Lewton for a while before switching back to Fig. It is a great avatar.

I like how we have a :shifty: smiliely now, but why is the box for them so small? Oh, and the :pan: is back!

Marek 09-10-2003 05:46 AM

I'm going to move this thread to where it belongs after the initial "shock" has passed ;)

Yes. Threads with unread posts have yellow folders. Others are blue.

The quote button no longer exists in vb3. You either press the little reply buttons for a quote, or the big ones at the bottom for a normal reply.

Moosferatu 09-10-2003 05:46 AM

In my previous post I had two more :pan: s at the end of it, but it wouldn't let me post my message until I deleted them. It said something about to many images or something like that. Is there a limit on the smilies?

Zanthia 09-10-2003 05:49 AM

And :spam: is back too. :)
Nice 2 c so many good things are back.
Oh, and now u can have bigger avatars! No 50*50 anymore. :)

emma, must you always be sipping a glass of wine everywhere? [gazes longingly at her half empty glass of Burgundy]

Firefoot 09-10-2003 05:54 AM

I'm confused... you have the main lay-out, but when you click something there you get the threads, but also more links to sub-forums?
And what about the lay-out when you click "gaming"... I see things with the 'moved' arrow and with the torches...

[edit] would it be possible to get the "Adventure Forums > Gaming > Adventure" at the bottom too?

LOL! Today is one of those burgundy days, I feel perfectly justified! *pours up some red wine to Trep too*

When you open a forum, there may be related links to other parts of the site. vb3 does allow nested forums, but we thought that was confusing and a little pointless. The links near the top with the arrows on some of the forums don't take you to the forum, but to articles and other site features related to that forum. As an example, the "Adventures" forum has two links at the top. One to the Marek's article "What are adventure games?" and one to the hints section of the site links page.

Intrepid Homoludens 09-10-2003 06:03 AM

Dammit, tabacco, why do you have to ruin a perfectly good thread by showing off your nerdy talents, thereby denuding it of its sexiness and spontaneity? emma, pour the dweeb a glass of Burgundy. That'll shut him up.

*hiccup*

Oww... now I understand! Cool! :)

emma 09-10-2003 06:07 AM

emma 09-10-2003 06:07 AM

Moosferatu 09-10-2003 06:25 AM

Where is the button that displays all of the posts that you haven't viewed?

pleto4_ryan 09-10-2003 06:27 AM

Here it started awfully slow, but it gained speed luckily... :)

Moosferatu 09-10-2003 06:31 AM

Is the clock right? I have it set on CET (GMT + 1:00) and it says that it is around 4:30 pm. While the clock on my computer says that it is around 8:58 pm...

I don't know what it is, but I set it on +6:30 to get the right time... but on some other forums I had to do it too... :?

See those buttons next to the "Welcome, Moosferatu" message? The arrows. Well, it's the second arrow from the left.

Pappapisshu 09-10-2003 11:32 AM

Hey, this looks great! It's wonderful to have the forums back. And to be back!

Kingzjester 09-10-2003 12:06 PM

Hello freaky new forum!

And speaking of the 'freaky' and 'new' - emma, what in the name of flying copulation is your avatar?

remixor 09-10-2003 12:25 PM

The new forum's looking good! It's going to take me a little while to readjust myself to going through a whole bunch of forums instead of just one though...

Congrats and thanks to Marek and the rest of the staff!

I was wondering the same myself...

Looks like a piece of ass from a Courbet painting...
