Lydia Lunch's strong suit I think is finding extremely talented collaborators and meshing her style with their's. (Also, she did some wonderfully nasty guitar in Teenage Jesus and the Jerks and sounds like a banshee.) Drunk on the Pope's Blood/The Agony is the Ecstasy, her split LP with The Birthday Party, is one of my must treasured posessions. Plus she and Jim Thirlwell made a lovely couple.
