Jazhara7 11-12-2009 07:31 AM

Hey, I'm not on the list? SHOCKING! Anyway, I might be able to come, but have to check if it doesn't conflict with another trip in April.

tsa 11-12-2009 08:00 AM

What! Did I really forget you? How could I!
tsa

UPtimist 11-12-2009 08:44 AM

Well if Jazzy's going then I'm there too!

Well, no, unfortunately not really... Duty calls, plus I'm just too comfortable in my couch buttprints...

And I'm the kind of teen who can do nothing by themselves. Well, maybe give you some bad wavering legal advice. Anyways, I'm there in spirit! :P

Oh and Luna, (unfortunately?) the name doesn't actually mean anything in Finnish. Then again, neither does my (actual) last name.

Hammerite 11-12-2009 08:55 AM

Shame I can't go - I'd like to meet some of you people in person; and you could all see me in person and possibly be surprised or not at all surprised.

Fantasysci5 11-12-2009 10:56 AM

Yeah, I wish I could meet a lot of you, too. :frown:

UPtimist 11-13-2009 07:23 AM

*sarcasm overload*

*system shutdown*

(Sorry, I know this isn't The Thread but I couldn't help myself)

The main problem would be that none of us would recognise you. :)

Hammerite 11-14-2009 04:51 AM

What about the people who saw that first photo I posted?

Yep, I never forget a face. I'll recognize you if you come to the get together. Don't you worry! :)

Hammerite 11-14-2009 05:19 AM

You'll surely never forget that face.

Maquisard 11-14-2009 05:28 AM

Was it your "Oh" face?

Well you did resemble a young Mr J. (And that's the man I married.)

Hammerite 11-14-2009 06:47 AM

Seriously? :o:

I'm serious! And you're not calling my husband ugly do you! ;)

Fantasysci5 11-14-2009 11:58 AM

Aww! Come on, PLEASE Hammy...post a pic of yourself. I don't think I've seen one; have I?!

Hammerite 11-14-2009 02:04 PM

I DEFINITELY will at some point... if it helps, one of my friends said I looked like a cross between Beck and JD out of Scrubs.

Maquisard 11-14-2009 02:32 PM

David Beckham? Women seem to drool over that guy, and JD's OK too. So what's the effin' problem?

Hammerite 11-14-2009 02:34 PM

No. Beck as in the genre-bending musician behind such songs like 'Loser', 'Where It's At', 'Motherfucker' and 'Gamma Ray'.

Fantasysci5 11-14-2009 07:23 PM

Hmm...JD is cute. I like scrawny, geeky guys more than buff guys, anyway, so you sound pretty good to me. ;)

You've said for YEARS that you DEFINITELY will at some point. We all think that point is now, Hammy!

UPtimist 11-17-2009 02:23 AM

You know, it's possible to use a picture you posted on the internet to track you down in security cameras wherever you move.

If you have access to the cameras (and the proper technology), of course.

Maruca 11-29-2009 07:25 AM

I am coming all though that means skipping an Indochine concert as I just noticed. Drat, bad timing. But well I just came from an Indochine concert so I'll survive...

tsa 11-29-2009 09:08 AM

But Maruca, you've been to two Indochine concerts already, and this get-together is a Mega Experience compared to those! You won't regret coming to Amsterdam, I'm sure!

Hammerite 11-29-2009 10:18 AM

Post photosh!

All in favour say "Aye"

Aye.

Jelena 11-30-2009 01:11 PM

Aye

Fantasysci5 11-30-2009 02:43 PM

Aye.

tsa 11-30-2009 06:09 PM

Aye.
But actually Hammie wants to see pictures of the concert Maruca went to, I think.

UPtimist 12-01-2009 09:27 AM

This latest turn in discussion reminds me of a Santana song...

Jazhara7 01-04-2010 12:59 AM

So, it seems I will be able to attend. Rejoice, everyone! I'd need the exact date to know for when to buy the train tickets, though. April 10 or 11?

- :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

tsa 01-04-2010 01:48 AM

Hurray! Another partygoer. The more the merrier!

April 10 it is. I'm looking forward to seeing you again Jazz!

Jelena 01-04-2010 02:42 AM

Great news Jaz! http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smile...mileys-380.gif (look, here's tsa jumping in his red couch. ;) )
I'm about to start checking the flights for Amsterdam.

tsa 01-04-2010 02:54 AM

My couch is a bit cleaner than that!

*giggles*

I know you keep your house clean. But it was a red couch. How could I resist?!
:D

UPtimist 01-04-2010 04:57 AM

Tempting, this... I didn't originally realize it was such a short trip. So, theoretically, I could actually make it. Then again, probably not (maybe if this were in the summer..).

Still, I'm interested in what you're all going to be doing there (also, I think it'd be great if you all camped at Tsa's place)?

tsa 01-04-2010 05:07 AM

I suggested to meet in Amsterdam because my place is almost 100 miles / 140 km from there, and in Amsterdam there is much more to do. But if someone really wants to see where I live then I guess something can be arranged. About what to do in Amsterdam: I'm not sure yet, but I would like to see an elaborate lunch or a dinner with us all in a nice and not too expensive restaurant. Afterwards or before that we could go on a boat trip through the canals. If you, reader, think you have a better idea then please let me know!

Jelena 01-04-2010 06:16 AM

I plan to visit the Van Gogh museum and the house of Anne Frank during the days before the get-together and hopefully some garden with tulips.
For the get-together I like the idea of dinner and canal boat. I believe once we get together there will be lots and lots of chatting. :D A restaurant is perfect!

We'll be flying with Ryan air and they have flights every other day from 'our' airport (to Eindhoven) which means our vacation will be between the 7th and 11th of April. I'm uncertain if Mr J is able to join us, but my daughter will come for sure.

tsa 01-04-2010 08:28 AM

For tulips the best thing to go to is the Keukenhof. As a second best, you can go to Enschede and visit my garden :). I planted a lot of new tulip bulbs in October last year.

Jelena 01-04-2010 11:48 AM

We've been discussing back and forth whether Mr J would join us to Amsterdam or not. He needs to work on both Wednesday and Thursday which would make it a weekend journey: Friday-Sunday. A bit short, but still possible to squeeze in some Van Gogh on Sunday morning. ;) Hopefully there will be tulips in Amsterdam.

tsa 01-04-2010 11:57 AM

I will buy you some tulip bulbs so you can plant them in your own garden Jelena :)
