Squinky, you haven't really answered my question ;)

Red grapes (we call them blue here in NL).

You're stranded on a piece of wood in the middle of the ocean. You can choose to have seagull or squid for dinner tonight. You have no fire. What do you choose?

Tobbe 03-18-2008 04:42 AM

Squid, it´s less "feathery"

Classic Horror Movie or Romantic Comedy

Merricat 03-18-2008 06:16 AM

Give me "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte" over "Sleepless in Seattle" any day. :D

Seaside or mountains holiday?

Jelena 03-18-2008 07:44 AM

Seaside

High heels or sneakers?

Squinky 03-18-2008 08:11 AM

Sneakers, of course!

Binary or hexadecimal?

lumi 03-19-2008 05:19 AM

Hexadecimal, because it's shorter.

Firm or soft matress?

tsa 03-19-2008 05:26 AM

Firm. Soft is hot and sticky.

Are you better as a manager or as someone who does the actual work?

Squinky 03-19-2008 07:25 AM

Actual work, but that also depends on what the work entails.

Babies or old people?

Merricat 03-19-2008 08:10 AM

Difficult choice. Babies are (mostly) sweet, and less trouble; their needs are simple. Old folks, on the other hand, have the capacity for telling fascinating stories about a time that is not your own--if they remain sharp, and are not too cranky. Innocence versus wisdom; potential versus experience.
I have to choose old people. Both can be tyrannical, but you can't put a baby in a rocking chair, give her a cup of tea, turn on some Lithuanian folk music, and leave the room.

Single level dwelling, or multiple floors?

lumi 03-19-2008 04:38 PM

Single level. Less of a risk for me in an earthquake, and I don't need so much room.

Golf course transportation: walking or golf cart.

bulldog 03-20-2008 01:41 PM

Golf cart

Peanut butter and Jelly or Ham sandwiches

tsa 03-20-2008 09:33 PM

What kind of Jelly would you put on the peanut butter? In NL, peanut butter is quite different from American peanut butter. It's quite solid, and we don't put anything on it.

Well honey bunny...... that does cause a little problem when answering my question ....... well um....:P

I just assumed that peanut butter was the same everywhere.... well ok then
How about this then

Soup or salad?

tsa 03-21-2008 01:44 PM

I don't like salad. Salad is for rabbits.

Pork or car tyres?

lumi 03-22-2008 02:37 PM

Pork can be turned into so many delicious things, so...pork.

Plucking guitar strings: long fingernails or guitar pick?

Merricat 03-24-2008 09:59 AM

Guitar pick.

Acoustic or electric?

tsa 03-24-2008 06:51 PM

Electric.

Mechanical or electrical?

Merricat 03-27-2008 02:46 AM

Mechanical. I'm often in or just out of water, so electricity is scary.

Headphones that are inserted in the ears, or over them?

Jelena 03-28-2008 01:18 PM

Over them.
My ears aren't designed for anything to stay inserted for very long.

Coffee or tea in the morning?

tsa 03-28-2008 08:54 PM

Tea.

Brown or white bread in the morning?

Maquisard 04-01-2008 04:50 AM

Brown. Always.

Apples or oranges?

tsa 04-01-2008 08:07 AM

Apples for eating, oranges for the juice.

Bird singing: starling or blackbird?

MystGirl 04-01-2008 11:45 PM

Do blackbirds sing?

I'll take blackbirds.

hamburger or hotdog?

stepurhan 04-02-2008 08:50 AM

Hotdog. They're usually easier to hold in one hand (so you can have a drink in the other).

Read the Book or Watch the film?

Jelena 04-02-2008 08:52 AM

Read the book. At least most of the time. When it comes to Lord of the Rings I don't plan to ever read those books again.

Will&Grace or Friends?

Squinky 04-02-2008 04:02 PM

Friends.

Cold pizza or cold fried chicken?

Jatsie 04-02-2008 04:19 PM

Cold fried chicken.

Danny Wilde's Ferrari, or Brett Sinclair's Aston Martin?

Merricat 04-03-2008 02:50 AM

Ooh, the Aston Martin, darling, without a doubt.

Bellybutton ring or small, intimate tattoo?

Squinky 04-03-2008 08:12 AM

I'd be a little squeamish about both, actually, but if I had to pick one, I'd go for a small tattoo, though probably not on an "intimate" part of my body.

Renting or owning a home?

tsa 04-03-2008 08:31 AM

Here in NL owning a home is made almost unreachable for most people, thanks to our passive gouvernment. When they were installed they promised themselves not to do anything about the current housing problem. That means that no new plans for affordable housing projects will be made in the coming four years. So renting is the only option for many people with an average income.

Modern or old house?

bulldog 04-03-2008 08:57 AM

Old house

Paintings or Drawings

tsa 04-03-2008 03:15 PM

Warm climate! Though clothing-optional environs can exist in non-warm climates.

Home cooked or restaurant cooked meals?

Merricat 04-06-2008 05:53 AM

I enjoy cooking, but I love being served and not having to clean up afterwards, so I choose restaurants.

The lady or the tiger? :D

MystGirl 04-06-2008 12:50 PM

the tiger

chocolate or ice cream? (or both!)

stepurhan 04-07-2008 09:04 AM

Chocolate (Teeth sensitive to cold)

Proper flavoursome real ale or wimpy watery lager.

I may have a personal bias on this one. ;)

I go for a chilled lager, like Corona or Staropramen. But Mr J enjoys ales more than anything. I'm sure you two would have a great time at the pub. :)

Jogging or working out at the gym?

bulldog 04-07-2008 05:47 PM

working out at the gym

fishing or hunting

Squinky 04-09-2008 12:27 PM

If I have to pick one, fishing, but I've never done either.

Subtitles or dubbing?

tsa 04-09-2008 03:32 PM

Subtitles. I hate not being able to hear the speaker's own voice, and see the lips move differently from the words. Besides, subtitles make you more aware of the fact that there are different people with different customs and languages on the world, they make you a better reader, and help you learn a different language more quickly and better. Subtitles are the reason why we Dutch are known for our language skills. Everything on TV here is subtitled.

Widescreen or normal computer monitor?
