Return of the Killer Futurama Rumour
Apparently Katey Sagal announced on Craig Ferguson's late late show tonight that 13 new episodes of Futurama will be airing on Comedy Central starting in 2008:

Cohen, Matt Groening, Bill Odenkirk, Kristin Gore, and the others behind the show are with it as well. |
Last official news I heard(straight from Groening) is that they were definitely doing 4 straight to video movies starting Fall 2006 and there was no new season.

Wonderful!

This is the best news since the last time we got these news. Hopefully, it's true this time, and we'll actually get new episodes.
2008 seems like a long wait, though. |

It's just... a long wait. :P |
The four DTV movies were already confirmed and underway, so I guess Groening changed his mind after CC threw the right amount of cash his way. I'd rather have the season than the movies, so this is good.

Too long a wait to be excited.

Do we still get the DVD movies? I want them. Dammit.
