But seriously, that's an impressively preserved fish fossil.

Those pictures are awesome! Thanks for posting them. :) The detail in that fish fossil is amazing.

Whenever I make it to a beach or I'm out hiking, I'm always looking for shells or interesting rocks, etc. I remember as a kid, we got to go to a quarry for the afternoon and look for fossils (I don't remember if I found any).

It closed in 2003 and is being converted to condominiums. :frown:
(According to the locals this was no great loss, as the Sundowner's only draw was it's exceedingly cheap room rates...around $26 a night.)

The more I look at that base the more I wish I had the money to buy it :frown:
