Hey stop abusing your mod powers and move it back to general gaming.

I don't see any descriptions that say it shouldn't be there.

EXACTLY, its general gaming, not General computer gaming :P

Infact we should have more non computer-game game threads in there...

Well, it's assumed we have computer/console gaming in mind, right? If I were moving the thread back, wouldn't I have to bring eg. the football thread with it?

I fully agree with your second statement, though. And so, to keep this thread alive: could anyone explain whether Upwords are indeed exactly like Scrabble plus the possibility to cover existing tiles with new ones, minus different values for different letters? I started considering it as a part of my Christmas shopping...

Kind of: there's a combined "Qu" letter. And there are some bonus letters which score extra points. And a maximum stack limit of 5, with you scoring for all the tiles under yours as well as the ones you put down. It's actually very fun, honest!

Best game ever: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talisman_Dragon

Despite being canned and renewed as typical by Games Workshop it lives on still with copious fan expansions. It brought the overly detailed and complex world of pen and paper rpg/fantasy to the world of boardgames with simple counters and 6 sided dice. Played a little like Monopoly meets The Game of Life, in a fantasy setting.

A game I remember having a blast playing is Junta!, which challenges players to create a dizzying number of secret pacts, conspiracies and double-crosses. Recommended for gamers with a machiavellian bent.
