Sorry, I don't know if this one have been mentioned yet, but the "Total Revolution: The complete adventure" complication released by Ubiisoft / Revolution Software should be very rare.
I got a copy back in the days, but now it seems extremely hard to find one. There's actually nothing special about the complication, just a collection of the games: Lure of the Temptress, Beneath a Steel Sky, Broken Sword and Broken Sword 2. This is the one I'm talking about. |

I had (never finished it) Little Big Adventure 2 And "Kult"... ahhh I haven't heard that name in years I have fond memories of that game... and have vague memories of "I have no mouth and I must scream" Cool. nice selection! |
How about this game "Cadaver"
by the Bitmap Brothers on the Amiga... Not sure if its classified as an adventure game or even a rare game but I remember it was pretty good at the time. |
Hi
Im looking for a game, and i figured you might be able to help me. The thing i remember from the game is that it had a funny style, the main character had some sort of goofy hair (maybe red coloured). At one point in the game you had to give a coffee to a hung over guy so you could talk to him. Other thing i remember thet there was a river and you had to throw something at the guy on the other side of it so he threw his boots at you which you could use... It was a point and click game? Does it ring any bells? Please help me, i can"t remember the name and it is driving me crazy. :D:D many thanks |
That's Woodruff and The Schnibble of Azimuth.

It's one of the toughest  (and wackiest! :7) adventures I've played so far :frusty:, so make sure to grab the UHS hint file (you're definitely gonna need!).
Woodruff can be played by ScummVM, and there is also a DOSBox installer for it (here) so take your pick. Have fun! :) |
Rex nebulator
Someone here called rex nebulator the worst game ever.
I really do not get why someone would call that the worst. The worst adventure game ever to me is any hidden object game ever made. It was ridiculous, but it was a pretty good game if you actually played it through. It was a sci-fi spoof what do you expect other than utter ridiculousness? If you liked games like space quest, ringworld, and so forth you'd love rex nebulator so calling it the worst in unfair. The only reason why I can think of that someone would hate this game so much is if they were easily offended by trans-sexuality ***(spoiler alert)*** seeing as you have to get a sex change in the game to complete a puzzle. The game did it in a way that was hilarious and wasn't at all offensive to the LGBT community and that's something to say considering when it came out. I guess you could find the game a little sexist if you come to that conclusion to fast, ***(spoiler alert)*** but I think the fact that it turns out that you're on a planet dominated by women where men are basically slaves puts the shoe on the other foot at least so that makes up for it. I really don't see why anyone would hate this game, but to each their own I guess. Anyways, if you like sci-spoof adventure games you will like this one so don't be discouraged to try it out just because a few people hate on it. Back onto the topic of rare games: .I actually own the original of rex nebulator for performa macintosh which has got to be rare. .I also have the game universe. I'm not sure if it's rare, but no one ever seems to mention it so it very well could be. I've got a whole lot of old apple mac classic II floppies which are actually in black and white. I think the only one that's an adventure game is space quest II (which is in no way at all rare although this version might be) I still have the original comic book that came with SQII as well. I look at it every time I feel nostalgic about the 80's and 90's. I just lost this game and it's hard to find where I'm at, but not rare. Scooby doo mysteries for the sega genesis. It's actually surprisingly good for a tv show based adventure game on a console. I actually really recommend this one. It's not easy either. anyways, this is just the stuff I owned as a kid. I'm not counting the 400+ adventures games I've collected since then, because that would just take too much time. P.S. kudos to everyone, because this is one of the few lists online that doesn't just list the same old status quo. I.E. every game we've already played or heard about 10,000 times. Like broken sword, monkey island, etc we don't need people repeating these games over and over again. We all know they're awesome and we all know they exist. Thank you guys for not putting me through having to read 26 pages of people saying that they love monkey island, because I'm really starting to get annoyed with that. |
woodruff looks really good. Thanks for the suggestion
