Why do you think it's a new game and not Dreamcatcher doing their usual thing of renaming games. Dreamcatcher has even renamed their own games. Remember how Dreamcatcher published "Sentinel: Descendents in Time?" and then republished the same game as "Realms of Illusion?"

Looks like online shops aren't reliable sources of information, if you ask me.

I mailed JoWood this Friday and asked about the english release of this game.
They answered that "The Book of Unwritten Tales" is likely to be released in the Q1 2011.
Now I think that sounds really promising!! :)

Never heard about Tradewest before.
But at amazon.co.uk the release date is 10 of decmber and since pre order is on there now my guess this is the release date for the uk.

Maybe the us will have another release date i dont know.

Both Amazon uk and The hut are saying "temporarily out of stock" now. Does it mean that it was already released? Anybody has any idea what's going on with this game?

JoWood have mailed me, and they say the game will be released January-March 2011...
Don´t know what they mean mean with "out of stock"?

JoWood/Dreamcatcher (Adventure Company) announced it's bankruptcy today. Again, no release for The Book of Unwritten Tales in the US :(

That sucks for J/D, of course, but the writing's been on the wall for them for a long time now. This could actually be the best news for the game, though. So long as J/D owned the rights, this game (and probably Haunted) was going to stay buried. Hopefully now maybe the rights will revert back to the devs or someone else who may actually do something with it.

I hope that's true, the game really deserves it. BoUT is my personal favorite adventure of the last ten years.

So I'm assuming everyone who has played Book of Unwritten Tales understands German? Otherwise, how the heck did you get your hands on an english version? I'll pay anything!

Very disapointing. Unfortunately, I never get my hopes up for any adventure release. I've been let down far too many times.

The game was originally produced in 2009. Now it is April 2011. It's not funny any more. We run out of patience.

I doubt it will ever come out. The only hope is for someone to translate the subtitles into English (from what I remember, ther are located in easily accessible XML file).

I know this has been done by user bout, but the link to his translation was removed, and also I think most of the translation was automatic.

I do have the subtitles, if i remember correctly, if you are interested in it. I downloaded them by the time they were available for download. I think i have them somewhere, if I am not mistaken. So I think, that i will buy the german version after all, since i speak german. But I would prefer an english version.

Does this situation mean that Haunted, will have the same luck as BoUT?
