Now the game feels more like a chore (feed sims, make them sleep, have them talk to people, repeat)
I think The Sims took off b/c it was:
1.it wasn't really geared towards one gender of gaming. It appealed to both males and females.
2.it was open-ended.
3.there were not many Simulations on actual general life itself

Sims has been on my hard drive FOREVER, since I first purchased it. It's one of the only games I can say that has, along side w/ Planescape: Torment.

Sims was addictive. You could play it and not realize you been at the game for hours. Sims was one of those games that you play for 2 weeks, then put aside. One month later or so, for some reason, you're back playing The Sims for another 2 weeks like crazy. Put it aside. Repeat cycle.
