The best games ever are the 3rd person ones. Exceptions are only 1) The Myst series and 2) the "mega, ultimate adventure game of all time"...Portal 2! Of course there are many good first person games, I enjoy them very much my self. But the Adventure games history is in general written from the 3rd person point of view.
