Most of the newer games, in an attempt to reach a wider audience, are easier than the (sometimes unforgiving) ones from the '80s and '90s.
The recent A Stroke of Fate - Operation Valkyrie was, if the hint-thread on this forum is to be believed, quite difficult, though.
