How many people actually speak in the kind of country style you hear in all those daytime dramas set in a small village, or better yet, a village hospital in the English countryside (or generally in lower middle class settings)?

You know, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks (that's a show, right? Never seen it, so I guess I can't say if they speak like that), dozens of the aforementioned hospital shows. (Those are all shows that run/have run in Finland)

'Cause, no offence (in case someone here speaks like that), but man, that's awful to listen to (so good thing I couldn't stand to watch those shows anyways)
