There were also the LES MANLEY games from Accolade, which were Leisure Suit Larry wannabes. TENDER LOVING CARE was not pornographic, it was "adult" in that it depicted a lot of sadistic behavior, but this sadism was largely psychological.

BTW, Venkman's description of Leisure Suit Larry 5 is incorrect on several counts. There were not really more cutscenes in LSL5 than in the other Larry games. The difference between LSL5 and the previous LSLs was that the puzzles were astoundingly easy. This was not a phase of Al Lowe's, this was a phase of Ken Williams's. For years, we had been putting survey cards in the boxes of the games, and Ken noticed that, according to those cards, a majority of people who started playing an adventure game NEVER FINISHED IT. He felt that indicated people weren't getting a fully satisfying experience. He said to Al, "Okay, let's make this one so easy that even a child could get to the ending." So Al made the puzzles ridiculously easy. (Maybe it's because practiced players could breeze through the puzzles that the game seemed to have more cutscenes -- you got to them faster.) It was a critical flop and disappointed a lot of old-school players looking for an interesting puzzle or two, but we also got tons of grateful feedback from players who said, "I was never able to finish an adventure game before!" A typical puzzle was: you have a camcorder, but the battery is dead. You have a battery charger and there's an outlet on the wall. Hmmm. How to proceed?

If you want to look at porn games, you'd be better off looking at the Japanese market. There are vast numbers of explicit "Hentai" games in Japan.
