The only thing I could conclude about Roger and Eddie from the intro (and you should take it with a grain of salt, since I'm not very good at judging characters) is that they're both nervous and rude. And it makes sense: Roger is on the needles and tense since he's about to run with the money and Eddie is edgy because Roger is late with his rent money.
And people (obviously) tend to be rude when they're nervous.
