The Lord of the Rings trilogy box set
A bit disappointed the books in this set don't have nifty front covers, but it was only a tenner on amazon and I couldn't pass it up. 
Only seen an episode or two of the series and found the main character likeable, but I'll check out a few volumes of the manga first before buying the anime.
