Interesting insights, D.C. After an Elf Mage and a Dalish Rogue, I'm now playing a Human Noble Warrior and indeed this particular Origin story is both heart-wrenching and surprising, shocking and infuriating. Incredible, really, and probably the best Origin story I tried (I still have to play the two Dwarves Origins).
