So it's official. Alan Wake will [reportedly] launch on 25 May. But sadly for the PC gamers, Microsoft announced that it will be exclusively on the XBox 360 console for the time being, and for the following reason...

Alan Wake may now have a definite release date, but it also has one less platform to ship on. Microsoft has confirmed that Alan Wake is no longer being developed for a PC release.

Here’s the official statement from a Microsoft spokesperson:

Quote:
Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen. We ultimately realised that the most compelling way to experience “Alan Wake” was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive. Both Microsoft and Remedy have long histories in PC game development. This decision was about matching this specific game to the right platform.
The focus had already shifted to the Xbox 360 version of the game with the PC release expected at a later date. Now it seems PC gamers are out of luck and need to buy Microsoft hardware to play it.
Here is the latest trailer for the game.
