our packaging team informed us that some of the files in a mirror were actually corrupted.
The problem has been fixed and you should be now able to succesfully re-download your game.

No mention of another download link so I carried on using the first one. I was very careful to download only one file at a time after the first one. Still not sure why the reported vs actual file size is different.
