The Dark Knight
Finally got around to watching this and felt thoroughly unimpressed. It was a fine rendition of the Joker but the rest of the film, especially the plot, was just offensive. Such orchestrated and such terribly _STUPID_ set pieces that demand way too much suspension of disbelief. The climactic 'escape by ferry' scenario was just... I don't think there are words in the english language to describe how stupid it was.
Quantum of Solace
This film speaks volumes on how right they where to pick Daniel Craig for this generation's Bond. Despite the inclusion of all the Bond film trademarks it still feels distinctly different from Casino Royale. Not enough was done to really establish Quantum as a serious opponent for MI6/Bond though, sadly.
