I've heard a lot of gamers and gaming press describe Mirror's Edge as repetitive, but they fail to specify what exactly is repetitive about the game. It strikes me that the only thing that could be described as repetitive about the game is the gameplay, but the gameplay is as much what Mirror's Edge is about, as cover is what Gears of War 2 is about, or drive-all-over-the-city style gameplay is what GTAIV is about. If you don't like the mechanic that a mechanic-driven game is built on, you won't like the game. Hence it's a matter of taste and personal preference, not any shortcoming on the developer's part.
Just my two cents, though.
