You mean you will lose your previously saved position when you go back in time? True, but you can [quoting the manual in the original release; it's not in the rerelease]
extend the grace period indefinitely by clicking on the flashing egg icon with the right mouse button. This will give you more time to decide whether or not you want to keep the rewound game.
You can also have six different games running at the same time.
