Well, Crysis has received a lot of critisism for being buggy up the anus.
Don't know if that's the same with UT3, but the long time development caused me to drop interest.
Besides, I think people are starting to reject FPSs going through the same game patterns and visual style.
I like to think Bioshock has been more successful for going against the norm.
