My laptop was overheating like crazy and shutting down as well. I got one
of these and I haven't had a problem since then. The best $30 I have spent in a long time. Obviously, you'll have to find it in your neck of the woods. But this has worked wonders for me. If this is a desktop, then you may need to ignore me but if I remember correctly, you have a laptop.
