Technically it probably does (although I wouldn't say it looks better than Call of Duty 4, Unreal Tournament 3 and perhaps even Gears of War; it certainly doesn't look better than Resident Evil 5), but I much prefer Halo's art direction, color palette and scope (huge open vistas versus smaller, but more detailed environments).
