I have one kind of mint (catmint, not really a mint if you're picky) in there. I've planted it in a dug down bucket without bottom to prevent it from taking over the entire herb garden. Then I have Peppermints in pots. They
will take over the entire spot if I plant them in the soil with or without bucket. I never use them in food though although homemade mint jelly sounds sophisticated.
