Neverwhere, the British TV-miniseries.

I loved Neil Gaiman's original novel, and wasn't disappointed by the show. Although you can see it was made with a pretty tight budget, the acting was natural and the scenery didn't feel cheap. Also, since the dialogs were inherited from the book word by word, the show is funny like hell, but also very morbid and surreal.
