Yeah, that one and the "still sell boatloads over the life of the machine" part. Does anyone really believe that any of these will be dismal failures
over time? Way too much attention is paid to how something does at launch, when the systems are top dollar, there's squat for game choice, and only the early adopters really care.
These companies all lose money on the consoles themselves, don't they? If they have to chop prices to move units, it's not really the end of the world. Eventually they'll sell and the games will come. Hell, I didn't buy a PS2 until last year. The PS3 will look a lot nicer to me at $300 with a ton of games out. I can wait.
