I have the Swedish version. The language and grammar in the Swedish text was driving me mad! (And it's Swedish-made, you know?)
I know very well that Gibert Goodmate was made in Sweden... as have some other REALLY EXCELLENT games.

However, as I said, the brilliant ORIGINAL dialog was in English (Canadian) and the superb voice actors also were chosen very carefully for their English enunciations (with several magnificent regional accents).

How the many puns and English turns of phrase etc. worked out in Swedish translation I have no idea... to say nothing of the voice acting (if it was dubbed ???).

When Gilbert discovers a small round hole in a vital rowing boat and uses a cork from his inventory to repair it, he exclaims .......... "Gilbert's shameless plug!"
How does that translate into Swedish ???
(It doesn't in the 2 foreign languages that I'm acquainted with).
