I saw it too, and while I agree with every single thing you said, I was still let down by so many unresolved or poorly resolved subplots.
Spoiler:For the whole movie Rocky's son doesn't like him. Then, instead of a really believable outcome, Rocky delivers a single speech outside his restaurant, and suddenly the kid is visiting his mother's grave and working on Rocky's training team. That brings me to the cheesiest stuff in the movie...how everyone Rocky meets seems to join his team. Even the love interest's son becomes a Rocky team member.
Lastly, I was disappointed in the romance subplot. Sure, it's sweet that for Rocky there was only one woman, and she's gone. But the whole romance subplot just felt unimportant. By the end, though I enjoyed the movie, it sort of felt empty to me and there were far too many similarities to the first Rocky, which remains superior.
