Wait until they're teenagers and want to go to parties or stay at friend's late. And you, being worried to death about what could happen to them on their way home, promise to pick them up at.....midnight or worse.
My son tried to make such a deal with me with only 10 minutes notice before he was to catch the bus to town. I refused since hubby and I just had opened a bottle of wine and I told him that taking the last bus all alone wasn't an option. Domestic war broke out.
*heavy sigh*
At least now he knows stunts like that doesn't work.
