Hi all. Since adventure developers is down I thought I'd post an update on my game here. I'm ad7venture on adventure developers. Anyway, I'm doing this Blender game called the Package. It takes place in 1946 and is about a guy that delivers a package for a favor and gets involved with a kidnapping. Right now I'm mostly working on interactions because Blender isn't an adventure engine, it's general purpose. So, anyway, I've gotten the object interaction pretty much worked out. At least ruffed in. I use python dictionaries for a scripting system. The camera follows behind the guy when he's roving around and it uses a mouse over question mark to find hot spots. When he gets close enough, the camera switches to side view and the inventory comes up. This is a screenshot from my working world so it's pretty boring visually. Just some cubes with brick texture and a skybox, but you can see the inventory system which is 2d to save poly's since Blender is a little bit slow.
