That depends on who writes the history book. The conquerer always write the history books, so if it will be forgotten can only be decided by who comes after and writes the history books.
Ask a kid today about Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat 1-3 are great history, but you'll find no young kids today who remember these games.
