I do think "theme" names are a good idea, so the naming problem won't be as bad in the future. As stepurhan said, literature would probably be the best way to go. Of course, what you choose is all a matter of whether you want people in the office asking you to explain the choice of name or not. They probably will, for example, if you choose something odd like "Guybrush."
You could have 3 servers called Bernard, Laverne and Hoagie. Then transferring stuff between them would come naturally.
