Wow. INSANE. That's all I can say. Pirates 2 has just set the opening day record box office. $55.5 million on Friday. Crazy. Absolutely crazy. Keep in mind that the best Friday-Sunday opening in history was Spider-Man with $114 million. But Spider-Man's Friday opening was $39 million, not $55 million. We could be looking at a HUGE 3 day box office haul here folks.
