I've only ever played GK3, so I can't really judge it in the context of the series, but as a game I enjoyed it. I agree with the villain problem, but that was wasn't nearly as bothersome as Spoiler: fighting the demon Asmodeus in hand to hand combat . That one kinda came out of the blue for what had been, up to that point, a game pretty much grounded in reality.
