It's not the fact that he was obviously lying. It was the terms he corrected. The fact that he nearly referred to us as "Primates" made me identify him as Doppelgaenger. He just said "Prim" before changing it to "Friends", but on seeing the "Prim" I actually jumped back a little on my chair (well, actually I have been sitting on the small stepladder from the kitchen these days. But I digress.) shouted "Doppelgaenger", pointing at my screen, with a shocked expression on my face.
