Who says movies have to be highbrow art to be
must-see? I think they're great films in terms of both technological achievement and storytelling (with qualifications). I think the reason they're impressive stories is that they're very effectively appealing to both children and adults. My father, who likes VERY few films, makes a point of going to Pixar's movies on opening weekend. That's like holy-crap-unheard-of in my family, for the most part. Likewise, my 14 year old cousin pretty much feels the same way. I think in order to create a film that can get both of those age groups really excited about a movie, you've got to have a pretty finely written movie
