Hearing "chaise lounge" makes we want to throw something in exasperation... Sadly, this mispronunciation is becoming more and more common.
It's
chaise longue people, from the French for "long chair"! I got into an minor argument with a co-worker about this, and she reasoned, "Well, you lounge on a 'chaise lounge' don't you?" Ugh.
Also, people who say 'whatchamacallit', 'doohickey' and 'thingamajig' when they don't know the correct term for something really annoy me.
Saying "a'ight", "word (whured)"
@ Saksie or "bling-bling" should also be banned.
