I mean, I can understand this with huge photo files from photographers because that's how they make their living (although why a photographer would post a full-size image of a photo that's for sale is beyond me), but getting snarky over a screenshot from an ancient computer game seems a little...rude.
I also understand the concept of "copyright", but isn't it being a little nit-picky to try to copyright a screenshot of a game you've played, but didn't have any part in creating?

Scott - it may not be the pics themselves. If you copied them to your PC and then uploaded them to photobucket or whatever, it probably would be okay. But when you link to their site, you're using their bandwidth for your purposes, and bandwidth can be expensive. When you use photobucket - you are using their bandwidth, not the origin site's. Did I make that clear or confuse you more?
